This Friday the East Quad Music Co-Op's Halfass will be bringing down the house Motor City style, with three of the D's hottest homegrown bands, undoubtedly on the frontline of Detroit's current hybrid era of rock and roll.

The Muggs, with their blues influenced rock and roll, are critically acclaimed- locally by Real Detroit as 2009's Best Indie Rock Band and internationally, receiving raving reviews in French, Spanish, and Swedish music magazines.

Gorevette is a supergroup formed of known Detroit faces, including Detroit rock legend Nikki Corvette (Nikki and the Corvettes), Amy Gore, Lianna Castillo (Gore Gore Girls) and Al King (Powertrane). This band delivers the unique fusion of hard driving rock and punk sounds that will please the ears of any Detroit music fan.

The Crooks were described in Metro Times by music producer Kim Fowley as 'high school boys who play like Led Zeppelin." All under 18 and already making waves within and outside of the Detroit music scene, these legends in the making are a must-see.
